Fish passage of a barrier construction (12) in running water with: - a chamber (22) having a first and a second opening that can be closed, connecting the first opening that can close the chamber (22) to a upstream side (18) of the barrier construction (12) and connecting the second opening that can close the chamber (22) to a downstream side (20) of the barrier construction (12); - a turbine (40) with an inlet (40a) and an outlet (40b); - a first supply (44) that connects the upstream side (18) with the inlet (40a) of the turbine (40); - a first discharge (46) connecting the outlet (40b) of the turbine (40) with the downstream side (20); characterized by - a second power supply (48) that connects the chamber (22) with the inlet (40a) of the turbine (40); and - a first switching unit (52) that is prepared to release and to optionally and controlled lock the second power supply (48).
