A wall mount (12) for an inverter (10) which comprises a connection device (14) for a connection cable (18), wherein the connection cable (18) comprises a first course along a wall and ends in the connection device (14) if the inverter (10) is mounted in an operating state on the wall mount (12). The wall mount (12) comprises a marking (22) which is provided for assembling the connection cable (18) for connecting to the connection device (14) and fixes the end of the connection cable (18), wherein the marking is positioned such that the connection cable (18) ends at the marking (22) after assembly if the inverter (10) is not mounted on the wall mount (12) and the connection cable (18) comprises the first course along the wall. Further disclosed are an inverter (10) comprising such a wall mount, an energy generation system and a method for commissioning the inverter (10).
