The present invention provides a technology for accurately detecting impersonation during face authentication without increasing device configuration or user burden.An impersonation detection device 1 is provided with: a facial image string acquisition unit 11; a line of sight change detection unit 12; a presentation information display unit 13; and an impersonation determination unit 14. The facial image string acquisition unit 11 acquires a facial image string indicating the face of a user. The line of sight change detection unit 12 detects information about a temporal change in the line of sight from the facial image string. The presentation information display unit 13 displays presentation information presented to the user as part of an authentication process. The impersonation determination unit 14 determines the likelihood of the face indicated by the facial image string being impersonation on the basis of the information about the temporal change in the line of sight with respect to the presentation information.
