A pet door opening notification system comprises: a wireless device attached to a pet door; and a communication terminal for receiving a wireless signal from the wireless device. The wireless device transmits a wireless signal including first identification information when opening of the pet door is detected. The communication terminal sends a notification of notification information when the identification information included in the received wireless signal corresponds to identification information stored in the communication terminal.
