The disclosed negative active material for a non-lithium secondary battery includes a hard carbon, wherein a ratio (ID/IG) of a D band peak intensity (ID) with respect to a G band peak intensity (IG) of the Raman spectrum is 0.8-1.2, and a ratio (Ia/Ic) of an anion peak intensity of acid (Ia) with respect to a carbon 1s peak intensity (Ic) of a spectrum obtained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is 0.01-0.1.
