GROUND TARGET CLASSIFICATION METHOD USING TARGET TRAIT CONTEXT FEATURES

The present invention relates to a ground target recognition method using primary features of a target, which extracts the primary features in a thermal image having an obscure boundary or insufficient information by using a beam angle moment (BAM) analysis method, and extracts effective context information from the extracted trait features to be used, so the present invention is suitable for a ground target classification using the thermal image and has significantly improved target classification performance. The ground target recognition method comprises the following steps: receiving a thermal image and a target segmentation image of a ground target; extracting the primary features; extracting the context information; and classifying a target.
