The purpose of the present invention is to provide a technique capable of stably and surely obtaining resin products, such as a resin material which is useful for an optical use and has very small or desired orientation birefringence, and an optical film whose temperature dependency of main birefringence influencing optical characteristics is reduced. In addition, the present invention relates to an optical resin material, a method for preparing the optical resin, a film-shaped optical resin member formed of said material, and a polarizing plate comprising same member. The optical resin material comprises a composite component system in which the component number z is 2 or greater, wherein the component number is defined in a condition where the original number of a (co)polymer, x (x=1), is counted to be included in the component number. The intrinsic birefringence, Δn^0, is respectively measured at each individual temperature under conditions where the temperature of a film, which is a uniaxially stretched film made of the composite-component system, is controlled within 15-70°C by stages. The absolute value of temperature coefficient of intrinsic birefringence at 15-70°C, which is obtained as a variation of the intrinsic birefringence per 1°C from a result of the measurement is in the range of 1.0 X 10^-5 (°C^-1) or less.
