Disclosed are a febrile convulsions sensing apparatus by measuring brainwaves and a control method thereof capable of sensing febrile convulsions by measuring brainwaves as well as lowering body temperature by operating a cooling device. The febrile convulsions sensing apparatus comprises: a temperature measuring unit for measuring the body temperature; a brainwaves measuring unit for measuring brainwaves; a cooling unit for generating cold energy; a storing unit for storing the brainwaves inputted by the brainwaves measuring unit and the body temperature measured by the temperature measuring unit while storing information about convulsions to determine the febrile convulsions; and a control unit for operating the cooling unit depending on the body temperature inputted by the temperature measuring unit and generating alarming signals after sensing febrile convulsions based on the information about convulsions stored in the storing unit after receiving the brainwaves from the brainwaves measuring unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
