The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating hematopoietic toxicity, comprising a Cibotium barometz J. Smith extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the Cibotium barometz J. Smith extract of the present invention prevents the effects of various anticancer agents having mechanisms different from each other or prevents the promotion of the growth of cancer cells, and effectively alleviates the hematopoietic toxicity and bone marrow toxicity induced by the anticancer agents. The Cibotium barometz J. Smith extract can be efficiently used as an active ingredient of the pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating the anticancer agent-induced hematopoietic toxicity.
