The present invention relates to a camera apparatus for acquiring a high dynamic range (HDR) image by using an optical technique. The camera apparatus having an HDR image acquisition function comprises: a prism means receiving a single light source with respect to one specific area, and dispersing or refracting the received single light source to acquire two or more light sources with different spectra; a camera module included as much as the number of light sources with different spectra acquired from the prism means, installed to individually receive the light sources with different spectra, and using a spectral light source inputted from the prism means to capture a specific area; an image synthesizing unit synthesizing individual images which are captured with respect to the specific area by the camera module, so as to acquire an HDR image; and a control unit to control each unit. According to the present invention, a single light source having information about one identical specific area to be photographed passes through a prism means to be outputted as other light sources having different spectra from each other, and the light sources having different spectra from each other are used to photograph several individual images having different brightness in the same time period, and the photographed individual images are synthesized to acquire an HDR image. Thus, several images having different brightness in the same time period can be acquired, an image loss caused by shaking is prevented as there is no time difference between the images, thereby the HDR image having good quality is obtained.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
