SOUND REDUCING DEVICE FOR SAXOPHONE

The present invention relates to a sound reducing device for a saxophone. More specifically, the sound reducing device can be mounted on a mouthpiece of the saxophone to make the sound of the saxophone lower than real sound. The sound reducing device (1) is inserted and fixed into a chamber (8) of the mouthpiece (7) of the saxophone. The sound reducing device (1) has an inlet (3) with a diameter of 13-14 mm and a support unit (4) formed by bending the circumference of the inlet (3) on a side of a funnel-shaped body (2) to the outside. A secondary hole (5) with the diameter of 0.2-0.3 mm is punctured on the center part of the body (2). An outlet (6) with the diameter of 0.4-0.6 mm is formed on the other side of the body (2). The sound reducing device (1) in a funnel shape is mounted to reduce the amount of air flowing into a neck from the chamber of the mouthpiece of the saxophone, thereby significantly reducing the amount of air flowing into the neck of the saxophone. Accordingly, a user can play and practice a saxophone without producing noise and affecting the surrounding environment in a household without a soundproofing apparatus by using the sound reducing function to lessen the sound when playing the saxophone.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
