The present invention relates to a composition for whitening skin and alleviating wrinkles, wherein the composition comprises a young barley leaf extract or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient; a composition for whitening skin and alleviating wrinkles, wherein the composition comprises 3-FQA, orientin, isoorientin, isovitexin, saponarin, lutonarin, IC7O6SG, IC7O6FG, IV7O6SG, IV7O6FG, and the like, derived from a young barley leaf extract, alone or in combination thereof; and a functional cosmetic product for whitening skin and alleviating wrinkles, wherein the functional cosmetic product comprises the composition. When a composition including a young barley leaf extract, a fraction thereof, and a compound derived therefrom according to the present invention is used, not only a skin whitening effect but also a wrinkle alleviating effect are exhibited, so the composition can be widely utilized in developing functional cosmetic products.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
