Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for verifying a vessel automatic identification system using crowdsourcing. The apparatus for verifying a vessel automatic identification system using crowdsourcing according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a vessel registering part which registers a vessel which a user boards; an AIS information generating part which generates virtual AIS information corresponding to the vessel; and a verification performing part which verifies the AIS information based on the virtual AIS information, when a verification request for AIS information corresponding to the vessel from an AIS verification server.
