The present invention relates to a colorimetric detection sensor and a colorimetric detection method for detecting p-phenylenediamine using silver nanoparticles modified with polyethylene glycol. More particularly, the present invention relates to a colorimetric detection sensor and a colorimetric detection method, in which the p-phenylenediamine used in beauty industry, such as cloth and fur-dyed aramid garment industry, ink and printing publishing industry, tattoo, cosmetics, hair dye and the like, can be easily detected by using a silver nanoparticle modified with a polyethylene glycol methyl ether thiol (PEG-MET) polymer having a thiol group in a colorimetric detection sensor, as compared to that of a conventional technique, so that excellent selectivity, sensitivity, and quantitative properties for the p-phenylenediamine can be exhibited and high utilization values can be obtained.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
