The present invention prepares carbon aerogel through the following steps: (i) washing vegetables which are fibers using water, naturally drying the same, and cutting the dried vegetables in a three-dimensional structure; (ii) preparing fibrous aerogel by heat treating the cut vegetables in a heat treatment apparatus; (iii) soaking the fibrous aerogel in water; (iv) freeze drying the water, absorbed in the fibrous aerogel by the soaking process; (v) stabilizing the freeze dried fibrous aerogel; and (vi) preparing carbon aerogel by carbonizing the stabilized fibrous aerogel. The present invention does not use chemicals, conventionally used for preparing carbon aerogels, thereby drastically reducing environmental pollution and reducing energy consumption and manufacturing costs.
