According to embodiments of the present invention, a smart emergency exit guide lamp system includes a plurality of smart emergency exit guide lamp devices which are installed along moving pathways to at least one emergency exit. The smart emergency exit guide lamp device determines distance information of the same based on distance information received from an adjacent smart emergency exit guide lamp device when at least two smart emergency exit guide lamp devices are installed to be adjacent to each other along the pathway, transmits the determined distance information to another adjacent smart emergency exit guide lamp device, and operates to determine a guide lamp display direction based on the determined distance information. The distance information may be information about the minimum moving distance from each smart emergency guide lamp device to the emergency exit.
