Disclosed are a nonlinear feedback system enabling fault detection when being unaware of time delays, and a method for fault detection and a compensation thereof. The nonlinear feedback system comprises: a fault detecting unit which detects faults with consideration of unknown time delays; and a compensation unit which compensates the faults when detecting the faults. The fault detecting unit detects a fault of the nonlinear feedback system by using a critical value which varies depending on time.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
