A method for the diagnosis of POEMS syndrome, including biopsy of tissue of the affected organ, staining of the lymph node sections with hematoxylin and eosin and counting of CD138 + plasma cells, characterized in that it additionally counts the area of blood vessels relative to the entire viewing area of the section, and when this indicator is exceeded 30% the area of view of the slice is diagnosed with POEMS syndrome.
