Statistical and selective process for adjusting manufacturing processes, statistical and selective adjustment device for manufacturing processes. The present invention is a method for adjusting the methods of making objects; objects whose characteristics depend on this setting; these characteristics being constrained to respect higher and / or lower tolerance limits, and / or to be close to target values. The problem with setting up a manufacturing process is that each feature may depend on several setting parameters and that these may change the value of several features. It is also due to the random dispersion of each characteristic, even when the manufacturing and measuring processes are stabilized. The method according to the present invention consists in: - setting control limits on the characteristics of the manufactured object, - classifying the adjustment parameters in ordered intervention groups to take account, for example, of their difficulties. to be adjusted, - to measure the characteristics on the sample of the last objects produced, - to search for the minimum selection of parameters, taken in groups and in the order of the groups, making it possible to reduce all the characteristics within their control limits, - to calculate the adjustment of this selection so that the next objects have their characteristics as close as possible to their targets, - and finally, to apply this adjustment to the parameters of the manufacturing process.
