The filter segment is partly made of with plastic and has a filtration surface encloses a framework element, in which a laminar filter material (2) is embedded. The filter material is provided to overstretch the filtration surface. The filtration surface is free from intermediate bracings. Reinforcement is provided, which is made of metal, particularly aluminum, iron or steel or plastic, glass fiber or plastic fiber. The filter material has metal fabric, particularly high-grade steel, a plastic or a natural fabric. An independent claim is also included for a circular segment for retaining a filter segment.
