摘要

It is an object to provide a technology for easily and properly deciding a position of center holes in a crankshaft. An apparatus of the present invention includes three-dimensional shape data acquiring means, center-hole assuming means, shape specifying means, balance deciding means and center-hole deciding means. The three-dimensional shape data acquiring means acquires three-dimensional shape data of a material crankshaft. The center-hole assuming means assumes a position of the center hole in the material crankshaft based on the three-dimensional shape data. The shape specifying means simulates a working with respect to the material crankshaft based on the assumed position of the center hole as a reference, and specifies a shape of the material crankshaft after the working simulation. The balance deciding means decides whether or not a rotational imbalance amount in the shape of the material crankshaft after the working simulation is within a predetermined allowable range. The center-hole deciding means decides the assumed position of the center hole as an actual boring position of the center hole when the rotational imbalance amount is within the predetermined allowable range.
