PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate length of a projection part in an axial direction without increasing a manufacturing cost of a yoke cover which fits to two electromagnetic yokes constituting a torque detector.SOLUTION: A yoke cover 1 fits to inner diameters of cylindrical parts of two electromagnetic yokes so that the two electromagnetic yokes facing each other in an axial direction sandwich the yoke cover. The yoke cover constitutes a torque detector with a pair of detection coils whose impedances are changed according to torque generated in a rotation shaft in which torque is detected based on output voltages of the detection coils. Pressing force surfaces A, B made by press treatment are axial end surfaces of a plurality of projection parts 1a in a circumferential direction in which the projection parts are projected outward in a radial direction more than the inner diameters of the two electromagnetic yokes, and engaged with a plurality of recesses in the circumferential direction at the opposite end of the electromagnetic yokes to come in contact with each other. Length of the projection part 1a in the axial direction is regulated by the press treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
