PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-titanium composite oxide which, when used for a lithium ion secondary battery and the like, can realize higher rate characteristics (rapid charging property) and a higher charge capacity than the conventional lithium-titanium composite oxides.SOLUTION: A lithium-titanium composite oxide according to the present invention 1 comprises: a ramsdellite type lithium-titanium oxide whose compositional formula is represented by LiTiO(1.0x1.5, 0y0.2); and a spinel type lithium-titanium oxide whose compositional formula is represented by LiTiO(0≤z≤3).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
