PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic response controlled building applicable to a small building also, the seismic response controlled building having a structure constructed inside an exterior building and connected by a seismic response controlled member.;SOLUTION: A seismic response controlled building 10 includes an external building 20 having a void space 40 inside that extends in a vertical direction, an internal building 30 constructed inside the void space 40 leaving an internal clearance from the exterior building 20 and having rigidity higher than the exterior building 20, and a vibration control damper 41 connecting the exterior building 20 with the interior building 30. Layout and damping capacity of the vibration control damper 41 have been set such that a damping force position R where resultant damping force of the vibration control damper 41 is exerted is brought closer to a center of gravity P1 side of the external building 20 than a center of gravity P2 side of the interior building 30, when the center of gravity P1 of the exterior building 20 deviates from the center of gravity P2 of the interior building 30.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
