PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an existence proof method for proving the existence of electronic data at a past specific time point, with high solidity.SOLUTION: An existence proof server 1 accepts electronic data to be a registration target for existence proof; next, creates a transaction having a script in which a byte array BA uniquely determined on the basis of a content of the electronic data is embedded; next, puts a digital signature using public key cryptography on the created transaction before broadcasting the transaction to a virtual currency network 20 in order to capture the transaction into a virtual currency block chain 21; and associates a transaction identifier TrID unique to the transaction with a byte array BA before registering the associated TrID in a management database 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
