PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of accurately detecting the periodic motion of a cardiomyocyte from time series images obtained in cell observation.SOLUTION: An image processing method, an image processing program and an image processing device are configured to make a computer achieve obtaining time series images in which a cardiomyocyte is photographed in a given time interval; extracting a moving region from the obtained time series images; calculating the morphological characteristic quantity of the cells of the moving region from the time series images; detecting the periodic pulsatile motion of the cardiomyocyte based on the time series variations of the image characteristic quantity; and detecting the center of the pulsatile motion of the cardiomyocyte.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
