The present invention relates to a method for reducing marine product deposition on a ship comprising providing an air lubrication system and covering at least a portion of the hull with air bubbles. The present invention also provides an air lubrication system with a removable deflector connection across the cavity, a closeable outlet valve in the air outlet duct, a compressor connection to each cavity or cavity pair, and an air inlet opening at the top of the cavity.
