PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a resin composition for a steam barrier adhesive, the steam barrier function of which composition is enhanced by a filler, and to provide the steam barrier adhesive obtained by the preparing method, a steam barrier film, a steam barrier coating agent, and a steam barrier laminate.SOLUTION: The method for preparing the resin composition for the steam barrier adhesive comprises the steps of: dissolving or dispersing acidic phosphate having a specific alkyl or alkenyl group in a solvent; adding a tabular inorganic compound to the acidic phosphate-dissolved/dispersed solvent so that the acidic phosphate is reacted with the added tabular inorganic compound to hydrophobize the surface of the tabular inorganic compound; and adding a resin having two or more hydroxyl groups in one molecule thereof as functional groups and an isocyanate compound having two or more isocyanate groups in one molecule thereof as functional groups to easily prepare the resin composition for the steam barrier adhesive, the steam barrier function of which composition is enhanced.
