PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a music data editing method that makes it possible to use an editing function specific to MIDI data while matching an editing method for audio data in terms of an editing method, to provide a program for realizing the music data editing method, and to provide a music data editing device.SOLUTION: Before a waveform display process for MIDI track is performed, (a) screen 61 is displayed on part of a display. If a user clicks, for example, the right button of a mouse in this display condition, a popup menu is shown in the position of a cursor, now shown. Then, when the user selects "waveform display" described in the menu, the waveform display process for the MIDI track is performed. Consequently, the screen switches to (b) screen 62. That is, the MIDI tracks of track 2, 3 switch from event display to waveform display. Further, a new track 4 appears a bounce track displaying bounce waveform image data created from a combination of the waveform images of the tracks 2 and 3.
