PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low moisture-permeable film that can give an optical film having low moisture permeability and good brittleness, an optical film having a hard coat layer on the above low moisture permeable film and having low moisture permeability and good brittleness, a polarizing plate using the optical film, a liquid crystal display device using the polarizing plate and showing excellent image qualities after a lapse of time in a high temperature and high moisture environment, and a production method of the low moisture-permeable film.SOLUTION: The low moisture-permeable film has a layer formed by curing the following curable composition on a substrate film. The curable composition comprises, with respect to the total solid content of the curable composition set to 100 mass%: 50 to 99 mass% of (A) at least one of a compound having a cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon group and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond and a compound having a fluorene ring and an ethylenically unsaturated double bond; and 1 to 30 mass% of (B) polyester urethane.
