PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of legibility of a document at document conversion in order to reduce a use amount of printing consumables (ink, toner, etc.).SOLUTION: A computer is made to execute processing (such as thinning-out processing: S24) of extracting a plurality of character strings having a prescribed number of common characters and adjacent in vertical direction from one end in longitudinal direction, converting at least part of common characters continuously from one end in longitudinal direction in the extracted plurality of character strings into a display for reducing a use amount of printing consumables (ink, toner, etc.).
