PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a non-response fault in a server system of cluster configuration.SOLUTION: A first server 100 included in a server system 20 of cluster configuration executes: processing for transmitting a telegraphic message requesting a predetermined response to a second server 200 that the first server 100 accesses, and measuring the lapse of time from a transmission time point of the telegraphic message; processing for monitoring a first event that the lapse of time until receiving the predetermined response from the second server 200 in accordance with the transmission of the telegraphic message exceeds a first reference time, each time the telegraphic message is transmitted, and reporting a slow-down state of the second server 200 to a predetermined terminal 400 in the case where the number of times of continuous occurrence of the first event exceeds the predetermined reference number of times; and processing for monitoring a second event that the predetermined response cannot be received from the second server 200 within a second reference time that is equal to or longer than the first reference time, from the transmission time point of the telegraphic message each time the telegraphic message is transmitted, and reporting a hang-up state of the second server 200 to the predetermined terminal 400 in the case where occurrence of the second event is detected.
