This Newberry Supercap-Battery (NSB) invention serves to provide a greatly improved means of electrical energy storage by providing greatly improved energy density and recharging speed. These supercapacitors are also lower cost than the current technology, last the life of the application and can store seasonal energy for alternative energy applications. Additionally, design features are incorporated that provide failsafe protection from problems such as too rapid a discharge, or if damaged. In vehicles, it is simpler, more reliable, lower cost to produce, much lower cost per mile (CPM), lower weight than current technologies, zero emissions, quieter, and high road performance capable. These batteries can store seasonal energy to minimize solar or wind system sizes as well as covering cloudy or windless days. The materials used in this battery are low cost, widely and long term available, and are safe and nonpolluting, unlike most batteries in use today.
