a computerized system for continuously monitoring, detecting and identifying active virtual mobile base stations based on active mobile network measurements comprising a configuration topology database for providing data related to the active location of a mobile network; a processing unit, connected to the database, to receive data files from radio access elements of the mobile network radio access (ran) network and collect its data from the network configuration topology, collect data from event data related to mobile subscribers of the mobile network and which is transferred between the mobile user equipment and the radio access network elements and comparing event data of the mobile subscriber with the network configuration topology data; a virtual base station identification detector for receiving from the processing unit the comparison results that are indicative of virtual base station activity and generating a virtual base station identification and profile data file based on the comparison results.
