TRACTION GOVERNING MECHANISM

Industrial revolution ushered in automation in the automobile sector in many large scale companies. Even though digital integrated machines are available, due to fatigue in the user and improper handling of the vehicle several accidents occur in the country. In order to reduce accidents and to ensure safety of the travellers and other road users, a project named Traction Governing Mechanism (TGM) has been developed. This deals with the use of vehicles speed and steering angle which plays a vital role for maintaining friction between wheel and road. So, governing of these parameters is required. Therefore, reducing the vehicle speed gradually while negotiating a curve is necessary. A simple prototype is fabricated by using an accelerometer, PIC Microcontroller and 500 RPM DC Motors. This project helps to bring down accidents at curves and in conditions when the vehicle loses traction, thereby increasing the safety of humans. Remember. Human lives are precious. They cannot be lost in accidents.
