摘要

The incidence of dengue virus infections in the population has increased considerably, both in Mexico and in the rest of the world. Although intensive efforts have been made to control chemically the dengue virus vectors, the use of insecticides causes resistance in the main vector, Aedes aegypti. Currently, the use of vegetable extracts is proposed as an alternative solution, however, there are two substantial disadvantages to its application in a biological system: (I) the instability of some of its components and II) the residual presence of organic solvent. The present invention provides a formulation based on polymeric nanoparticles containing at least one Annona muricata seed extract and its use as an insecticide, particularly against Aedes aegypti. Said formulation has the advantage of being stable and solvent-free, allowing its application in the environment. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for producing said insecticide formulation.
