GEOSPATIAL METHOD FOR INTEGRATED PLANNING OF HUMAN HABITAT IN PROTECTED WETLANDS

The invention relates to a spatial planning method to be applied in protected wetlands of large surfaces, which also include human settlements on their territories. According to the invention, the method consists of a succession of spatial analyses in the field, using GIS systems, where the data are integrated on five levels, in the following succession of processing stages: gathering data, ranking data, calculating economical, ecological and social development indices, ranking indices, calculating aggregate index by combining ranked values of the economical, ecological and social development indices and ranking the values of the aggregate index for all the spatial units, based on which bi-dimensional maps and cartograms are made.
