The safety mechanism (1) for the temporary flood barrier (13) includes a lockable free-end safety part (2) between a locked position and an unlocked position, to which acentric device (11) is assigned to the free end; and has change over attachment (3) of safety part (2) between the locked position and the unlocked position. It allows quick assembly and reliable sealing of the temporary flood barrier (13).
