A METHOD OF OPTICAL SIGNALS MONITORING SYSTEM (100) IN FIBER-TO-THE-HOME (FTTH) NETWORKS IS PROVIDED, CHARACTERIZED IN THAT, THE METHOD INCLUDES THE STEPS OF; MULTIPLEXING DOWNSTREAM WAVELENGTH WITH A TESTING WAVELENGTH;DEMULTIPLEXING THE MULTIPLEXED WAVELENGTHS AT WSC (110); SPLITTING THE DEMULTIPLEXEED WAVELENGTHS; CINFU=IGURING A RESULTANT OPTICAL SIGNAL BY USING TH ESPLIT WAVELENGTH WHEREIN THE OPTICAL SIGNALS ARE CONNECTED UPSTREAM AND CENTRALLY FROM OPTICAL LINE TERMINAL (OLT) TO AN OPTICAL NETWROK UNIT (ONU), WHEREIN DISTANCE BETWEEN THE OLT AND ONU IS 20 KILOMETRES (KM); AND WHEREIN DISTANCE BETWEEN THE OLT AND ONU US 20 KILOMETERS (KM); AND WHEREIN THE METHOD USES CENTRALIZED DETECTION IN CONTRAST WITH BACKWARD DETECTION METHODS, SUCH THAT UPWARD DETECTION AND REFLECTED SIGNAL COMES FROM MULTI CHANNELS CAN BE INTERPRETED BY THE OTDR, BY PASSING THE OPTICAL SPLITTER USING THE OPTICAL SWITCH CONTROLLED BY THE MICROPROCESSOR.
