A staggered-row-type wide-and-narrow-row rice transplanter comprises a frame, a seedling table, and a transplanting mechanism. The seedling table comprises several seedling trays (1). The transplanting mechanism comprises several transplanting boxes (2) disposed in a single row. An upper end of the transplanting box (2) is connected to a driving mechanism, and a rotary box is disposed at a lower end. Transplanting arms are disposed at two ends of the rotary box. A transplanting claw (4) is disposed on each transplanting arm. Three rotary boxes make a group, the rotary boxes inside the group are disposed at an equal interval, and an interval between rotary boxes of two adjacent groups is 1.5 times to 2 times of an interval between rotary boxes inside a group. Each group of rotary boxes corresponds to one seedling tray (1). A rotational angle difference of 90 degrees is set between the middle one of the rotary boxes in each group and a rotary box on each of the two sides. The staggered-row-type wide-and-narrow-row rice transplanter effectively improves air circulation and light passing between plants, thereby ensuring reliable growth space for plants.
