The present invention describe platinum catalysts supported on niobium oxide (Nb₂O₅) for use in water-gas shift reactions (WGSR). These catalysts are sulphur-tolerant and hence suitable for processes in which this component is continuously or intermittently present in the supply. The present invention also relates to a water-gas shift method using this catalyst.
