A public number recommendation method and system. The method comprises: grouping user data read from a database (11); determining, from each of groups, and with respect to a user to be computed, a closest user of the user to be computed, and determining, according to all public numbers followed by the closest user and a latest information attenuation coefficient of a unit time of a corresponding public number, a recommended public number with respect to the user to be computed and each of the groups (12); and determining, according to recommended public numbers of all the groups and with respect to the user to be computed, a final recommended public number for the user to be computed (13). The public number recommendation method and system can recommend a highly active public number using a higher priority.
