ENVIRONMENTALLY-FRIENDLY, SELF-REGULATING SYSTEM FOR CONTINUOUSLY PRODUCING BIOCHAR WITH A HIGH YIELD AND CONSISTENTLY HIGH QUALITY FROM BIOMASS AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAID BIOCHAR
The invention relates to an environmentally friendly, self-regulating system for continuously producing wood charcoal from biomass, preferably wood, the system comprising: a shaft reactor with a shaft-reactor casing comprising a head end and a foot end; a particle conveying device; at least one aeration dosing device, wherein the head end of the shaft reactor has a charging opening and the foot end of the shaft reactor has a discharging opening; a trapping device connected to the discharging opening, for quenching the charcoal that is carried out of the discharging opening. The foot end of the shaft reactor casing, which end adjoins a section lying centrally between the head end and the foot end, has a conical design and is provided in particular with a funnel-shaped annular skirt. A screen is situated in the interior of the shaft reactor in a transition region from the central section of the shaft reactor to the foot end, the foot end of the shaft reactor has the aeration dosing device, the aeration dosing device has an air conduit, preferably extending along the central longitudinal axis A, an outer pipe flexibly accommodates the upper end of the air conduit and the lower end of said air conduit has an opening. The air conduit is connected to an outer air pipe, via which air is supplied from the exterior. Preferably, the controllable wood conveying device is situated in the region of the head part opening.
