There is provided a web server for the web-based automated generation of game of chance competition tickets, the web server comprising a competition manager module configured for managing game of chance competition, the competition manager module configured for generating a competition manager graphical user interface for display by the vendor client computing device, the competition manager graphical user interface comprising set competition configuration fields for use by the competition holder in configuring a game of chance competition; a claim manager module configured for managing ticket claims of the at least one participant, the claims manager module configured for generating a ticket claims management interface for display by the client computing device, the ticket claims management interface comprising set ticket claim fields for use by the participant in claiming the at least one ticket; and a ticket generator module configured for generating web-based tickets comprising ticket information comprising at least a subset of each of the competition holder data, the game data and the participant data.
