The present invention relates to a structure for reducing damage to a high-pressure chamber caused by damage to a specimen, and to a method for an internal pressure test using the structure. The structure supports a tubular specimen from the inside of the specimen while being spaced therefrom and thereby prevents damage to the specimen caused by excessive deformation thereof while allowing only the deformation of the specimen caused by high pressure, thereby preventing damage to the inside of the high-pressure chamber caused by damage to the specimen. The structure comprises a plurality of round bar-shaped damage prevention mechanisms which: are inserted along the length direction of the tubular specimen while being spaced from the inner circumferential surface of the specimen; support the specimen when the shape of the specimen is deformed due to high pressure and prevent damage to the specimen; and are added or omitted in a stacked state in line with the length of the specimen.
