The method comprises: recording all financial liabilities and the line of credit of a customer in a bank (S101); reading customer information (S102); collecting statistics about the total amount of financial liabilities of the customer in this bank according to the financial liabilities corresponding to the customer information (S103); comparing the total amount of financial liabilities of the customer with the line of credit (S104); if the line of credit is not exceeded, transmitting to a user a prompt that financing is recommended (S105); and if the line of credit is exceeded, transmitting to the user a prompt that financing is not recommended, and transmitting patent information to the user (S106). By identifying an insolvent customer using a smart financing system, the credit risk of a financial institution, for example, a bank, can be effectively reduced, the financing service efficiency is improved, the risk management capability of the bank is strengthened, and the rights of the patentee is protected.
