The present invention relates to an apparatus for determining an operation state, such as stop or backward-forward movement, of a railway vehicle using a color sensor, a brake system of a linear pulse propulsion-type railway vehicle using the color sensor, and the apparatus thereof. The apparatus for determining an operation state of a railway vehicle using a color sensor includes: a color sensor detecting a rotation state of a wheel provided in a railway vehicle; and a control board determining an operation state of the railway vehicle by receiving a rotation state signal from the color sensor. The brake system of a linear pulse propulsion-type railway vehicle using the color sensor includes: a color sensor detecting a rotation state of the wheel provided in the railway vehicle; a brake apparatus performing braking of the railway vehicle; and a control board determining information on an operation state of the railway vehicle by receiving a rotation state signal of the wheel measured by the color sensor, and controlling an operation of the brake device. Therefore, the apparatus of determining an operation state of a railway vehicle using a color sensor and the brake system of a linear pulse propulsion-type railway vehicle using the color sensor can stably control right position braking and emergency braking by accurately determining a driving state of a trolley used in a linear pulse propulsion-type railway vehicle.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
