The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring liquid limit of clay soil using penetration resistance of a small cone. According to the present invention, the apparatus generates penetration resistance by statically penetrating a small cone into clay soil. By using the penetration resistance, the apparatus is able to easily measure a liquid limit and shorten a measuring time compared with a conventional Casagrande test method and a Fall cone test method. In addition, measurement accuracy can be increased without being influenced by an experimenter and experimental conditions in comparison with the conventional measurement methods. By increasing reliability of properties of the clay soil, the present invention is able to increase economical feasibility and safeness of design, construction, and maintenance of infrastructure of civil engineering and building structures installed on the clay soil.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
