Using a separate thread for heat testing can allow targets to be quickly identified. In cases where an appropriate response is handled by a separate thread, such as an operating thread that may be used for touch operations such as panning and pinch zooming, operations may occur without blocking at the main thread . This results in consistently fast response times even in low-end hardware in a variety of scenarios.
