The present invention relates to a system for automatically controlling a spreader of a crane for transporting containers. The system is configured to facilitate mounting and removing containers to be transported by using a radar even in situations where it is difficult for a crane driver to secure a clear view due to fog or other external factors. According to the present invention, the system for automatically controlling a spreader of a crane for transporting containers comprises: a boom plate; a trolley moving along the boom plate; the crane having the spreader which is coupled to the trolley to be able to be elevated in a vertical direction and to which the container to be transported is mounted or removed; a plurality of cameras installed at a predetermined distance from the crane and photographing the container to be transported or the location on which the container is loaded or unloaded; the radar installed on the crane and transmitting electromagnetic waves to the container and receiving the same from the container to obtain images; and a control unit analyzing the images obtained from the cameras and the radar to calculate location information of the container to be transported.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
